Welcome, Dear Human – endings & routes
This page contains major story spoilers for the demo of Welcome, Dear Human. It's written to help players who are missing scenes or struggling to trigger a specific outcome. All descriptions are based on the current public build and may not match future updates 1:1.
Ending – A New Friend
Spoilers below
If you consistently treat the demon with patience and basic kindness — checking in on them, respecting their boundaries, and choosing dialogue options that show curiosity rather than fear — the relationship develops into a gentle, mutual trust. The final scenes lean into comfort and companionship rather than outright romance: you accept their presence in your life, and they in turn soften around you, turning what began as a nightmare into something almost homey.
Note: this is a fan-made interpretation based on public playthroughs and the current demo. Details may change in future updates.
Ending – Lost Something
Spoilers below
By pushing the demon away, refusing to engage, or reacting with hostility whenever they reach out, you can nudge the story toward a more unsettling conclusion. The demon withdraws, the gaps in your routine widen, and the final moments emphasize absence — you lose not just sleep, but the strange connection that might have grown there. Players often experience this route after trying to 'play it safe' or ignore the horror elements.
Note: this is a fan-made interpretation based on public playthroughs and the current demo. Details may change in future updates.
Ending – [Working title / secret ending]
Spoilers below
The third ending usually requires a mix of exploratory behavior (interacting with many objects, engaging fully with minigames) and deliberate choices that neither fully reject nor fully embrace the demon at first. Think of it as digging deeper into the apartment's secrets and the demon's nature. Because the developers may tweak exact requirements between builds, treat this description as a high-level guide rather than a strict checklist.
Note: this is a fan-made interpretation based on public playthroughs and the current demo. Details may change in future updates.
General route advice (light spoilers)
- Replaying from the start is often faster than trying to salvage a half-finished route; the demo is intentionally compact.
- Pay attention to how the narrator comments on your choices — their tone often hints at whether you're drifting toward a softer or harsher outcome.
- Don't be afraid to experiment. Many small dialogue branches are more about flavour than strict "points", and the fan community enjoys comparing their versions of the story.
