Spoiler-light guide
First-time player tips
This page is meant to help you enjoy your first playthrough of Welcome, Dear Human without spoiling specific scenes or endings. If you are looking for a detailed breakdown of every route, head to the Endings Guide instead.
General advice
- Take your time. Explore your apartment, click on objects, and listen to the narrator's comments. The pacing is intentionally slow and cozy at first.
- Be consistent. Your choices about how you treat the demon add up over time. The game remembers when you set boundaries, show kindness, or give in to fear.
- Play at night if you can. Many players report that the atmosphere lands best in a quiet, dark room with headphones.
- Expect multiple runs. The demo is short (around 1–2 hours for a first ending), and seeing all three endings is part of the fun.
Minigames & interaction
The game mixes visual novel choices with small interactive segments (like counting sheep or decorating rooms). These sections are designed to be thematic rather than punishing. If you are struggling on mobile or browser versions, consider switching to a downloadable build for a smoother experience.
When to look at the endings guide
If you have finished at least one route and are now hunting for the remaining scenes or gallery unlocks, it's a good time to open the spoiler-marked endings guide. That page uses clear spoiler labels so you can reveal only what you need.
